With over 25 years of energy industry experience, Young is a retail sales leader at Constellation focused on channel sales for commercial and industrial business in electric and natural gas competitive markets. In addition, she leads sales enablement, and power sales support teams.
Professional History
Young joined Constellation as part of the Integrys merger in 2014. She has held various sales and sales leadership roles from regional to national, public sector and channel partner sales, along with roles in municipal aggregation and as in-house counsel.
She began her career in commodity futures trading before taking on sales roles in the competitive energy marketplace. In 1998, Young joined WPS Energy Services, Inc. as it expanded into Illinois. Building on her passion for creating a rich customer experience, Young joined the electric and natural gas municipal aggregation team in 2001, where she coordinated the marketing, regulatory and customer service-related operations for these programs. As in-house counsel from 2003 – 2012, Young focused on retail agreements, complex structured transactions, software, intellectual property and other agreements.
Civic Involvement
Young served two terms as an elected official with the Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners (2009-2017). In addition, she served as a Commissioner (2019-2021) and Chairman (2021-2022) of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the City of Naperville, Illinois.
Education
Young holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a law degree from Loyola University of Chicago, School of Law.
Family
Young lives in Arcadia, MI with her husband, Dan. She has two adult sons.
