Richard Bratton graduated from Quinnipiac Law and has been at Independent Power Producers of New York (IPPNY) for just over four years. IPPNY is a trade association representing all forms of energy generation in New York, totaling 80% of the state’s generation. Mr. Bratton is responsible for monitoring proceedings at the New York Independent System Operator, the New York Public Service Commission, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and is on the Executive Committee, and leads the Large Load Working Group of the New York State Reliability Council. He is responsible for preparing written communications to, building consensus among and advocating on behalf of, a diverse membership of merchant generators concerning the development of public and regulatory policies related to the market design and rules affecting the wholesale electric power system in New York.
