Public Utilities Commissions face heightened public expectations to deliver on grid reliability, energy affordability, and climate goals, while navigating market, cost, and federal policy uncertainty and increased customer frustration with high energy prices. This panel will pick up from last year’s discussion with the Public Utilities Chairs on the role of the New England PUC in the dynamic energy policy landscape to explore key trends and emerging challenges and opportunities, such as electrification, the gas transition, and data center growth, to deliver on these expectations.
