Alon Dominitz is the first Deputy Director of Generation at ORES. Prior to that, Alon was the Civil Engineering Manager at ORES for about 4 years. As Deputy Director, Alon manages a large variety of amazing subject matter expert teams including engineers, biologists, and archeologists. Alon played a leading role in the subject matter and executive teams responsible for writing and issuing the revised NYS generation and transmission siting regulations that became effective March 9, 2026. Prior to joining ORES, Alon had a 28 year career at the NYS DEC permitting critical infrastructure in a variety of programs – including management of the Dam Safety program for 16 years and permitting nitrogen oxides emissions from stationary combustion sources in New York City for 7 years. Alon has been a New York licensed Professional Engineer for 26 years. He lives with his family in New York’s capital district, and enjoys biking, paddling, and all manner of outdoor activities.
