Blair Hastey is the Manager of Business Development & Marketing for the New England region, where he works to identify pipeline infrastructure growth projects. In this capacity, he collaborates closely with Northeast customers and partners to align energy solutions with evolving needs and decarbonization goals.
Blair led efforts related to the recently announced Algonquin Reliable Affordable Resilient Enhancement (AGT Enhancement) project—a strategic upgrade to the Algonquin Gas Transmission pipeline across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Designed to enhance system capacity by approximately 75 MMcf/d, the project focuses on targeted upgrades along existing rights‑of‑way. With a projected investment of US $300 million, this initiative aims to boost reliable supply, reduce winter price volatility, and support long-term delivery commitments for participating Local Distribution Companies across the region. The AGT Enhancement is expected to enter service in 2029, contingent on regulatory approvals.
Prior to joining the Business Development team, Blair contributed to the development and execution of large capital expansion projects in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and western Canada. He also served in Enbridge’s operations group, managing construction and maintenance of midstream and mainline assets in western Canada.
Blair holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His diverse experience across operations, project execution, and business development positions him as a trusted leader in advancing infrastructure solutions that support reliability, affordability, and sustainability in the energy sector.
