Dwarakesh serves as the Head of Transmission and Interconnection Americas, at Equinor, where he leads a team of industry experts managing and advising electric transmission and grid interconnection activities for Equinor’s renewable and energy storage development efforts across USA, Canada and Latin America. Among a number of projects, Dwarakesh’s team leads interconnection strategy efforts for some of the nation’s largest offshore wind projects, including 2.1 GW Empire Wind project and 1.2 GW Beacon Wind project.
Prior to joining Equinor, Dwarakesh led the transmission and interconnection consulting practice at Daymark Energy Advisors. In that role, Dwarakesh guided a number of developers across the country in successfully strategizing and developing their generation and merchant transmission portfolios.
Before arriving at Daymark, Dwarakesh led system planning activities under ISO New England’s Forward Capacity Market, including evaluation and qualification of a number of critical capacity generation resources across New England. Prior to his role at ISO-NE, Dwarakesh undertook a number of roles across the energy industry including transmission planning activities for National Grid.
