Margaret Czepiel is an Associate in the Washington, DC office of Day Pitney LLP. Margaret represents energy clients in regulatory, administrative litigation, enforcement and compliance matters, predominantly in front of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state commissions. Margaret assists a wide array of clients from municipalities, to large corporations to the New England Power Pool (NEPOOL) on electric and gas-related matters. She has developed knowledge of transmission and interconnection procedures, and has worked with developers of emerging renewable and storage technologies on complex interconnection and siting-related issues. Margaret has also worked with large scale transmission developers with FERC compliance and regulatory proceedings. Margaret has been a panelist at several Day Pitney webinars on FERC jurisdiction, transmission initiatives and offshore wind interconnection issues. Prior to joining Day Pitney, Margaret worked as a law clerk at the U.S. Department of Commerce and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). Margaret is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and Gettysburg College.
